Please read and understand the instructions mentioned below before you proceed for registration. It is mandatory to appear for the SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) for admission to Symbiosis Law School, Noida.

Application Procedure:

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Law School, Noida students should adopt and complete the following procedure: -

Step I:

The applicant must register online for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Examination, 2012. For more details please visit: www.set-test.org

For mode of payment, please visit: - www.set-test.org Applicant shall receive the prospectus from Symbiosis International University, Pune only.

Step II:

In addition to SET registration, applicant has to fill up an online application form available at www.symlaw.edu.in by paying Rs. 1000/- This is mandatory condition, without which applicant will not be considered for short-listing for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The payment for this can be made online by credit card along with the payment of SET registration OR by forwarding a Demand Draft in favor of “Symbiosis Law School, Noida” payable at Noida/Delhi, to the Institute OR by paying through credit card at the time of online application to the institute OR through Net Banking (account details are available on the Application form).

In case payment is made by Demand Draft, please mention your name and the SET ID number on the back of the Demand Draft and send it by Speed Post (EMS)/Registered AD only.

Selection Procedure:

Selection is done in two phases:

  1. Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the SET score.
  2. The short listed candidates will be invited for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) at:
    • Symbiosis International University Noida Campus (Symbiosis Law School, Opposite Nokia Siemens Building, Block A 47/48, Sector 62, NOIDA-201301)
    • Symbiosis International University Pune Campus (Symbiosis Law School, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune-411004), and
    • Symbiosis International University Bangalore Campus, (Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, #95/1, 95/2, Electronics City, Phase-1, Hosur Road, Bangalore-560100)
    * Provided there is a minimum of 20 candidates opting for the centre

Final Merit list shall be drawn on the basis of SET Score and GD & PI performance.

Eligibility:

B.A. LL.B and B.B.A. LL.B.:

The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) standard examination from any government-recognized board with minimum 50% marks (45% for S.C. / S.T. students) in one attempt (No Compartment / Supplementary). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the notified date.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course.

Age Limit:

Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET-2012) as on Saturday 05th May 2012. (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates i.e. they should not be more than 22 years of age on the specified date).

Intake:

The total intake is 180 seats, which includes 120 seats for BBA.LL.B. and 60 seats for BA.LL.B.

Reservation of Seats:

Within the Sanctioned Intake:

Scheduled Caste: 15%
Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
Differently Abled: 3%

Over & Above Sanctioned Intake:

Jammu and Kashmir Migrants: 2 Seats Per Programme
International Students: 15% (Including PIO and NRI)

Fee Structure:

BBA.LL.B. - Rs. 1, 60, 000/- per annum
BA.LL.B. - Rs. 1, 60, 000/- per annum

No capitation is charged for admission to any programme at any institute of Symbiosis.

All or any disputes relating to selection, cancellation of admission, refund of fees, examination, certification, disciplinary matters shall be exclusively subject to jurisdiction of Pune or Noida courts/forums only. And for the purpose of writ jurisdiction, the jurisdiction shall be exclusively with High Court of Bombay at Mumbai.
