Workshop on ‘Oral Skills and Courtroom Mannerisms’

In pursuance of making our presence felt in the mooting circle, SLS Noida stops at nothing to create a niche for itself. The Second Workshop for Moot Court Training took place on a Sunday, 24th April, 2011. The session had Oral Skills and Courtroom Mannerisms as the agenda and was held by Mr. Adab. He is presently working as a Company Secretary and Advocate at Paras Kuhad and Associates, New Delhi. His achievements in various moot court competitions and an array of other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities have been worth mentioning.

Seminar on ‘Ill Effects of Consuming Tobacco and the Relevant Laws’

Speaker:   Mr. Ashish Pandey, the Programme Officer with the Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI)

Mr. Ashish Pandey works as the Programme Officer with the Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), which is one of the largest health and development networks in the world with a federation of 27 State Voluntary Health Associations, linking together more than 4500 health and development institutions across the country. At VHAI, he is administering the implementation of the tobacco control project namely “Partnership against Tobacco and Action for Policies, Politics, Legislation and Empowerment” (PAT & APPLE) in the states supported under Bloomberg Global Initiative (BGI).

Prior to this, he was working with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India as National Consultant for almost two years under the pilot phase of National Tobacco Control Program. During which, he was mainly responsible for the advocacy related activities of tobacco control.
