Dr. Chandrashekhar J. Rawandale

Dr. Chandrashekhar J. Rawandale graduated from the University of Pune with LL.B degree, moving on to complete LL.M in International Law & Human Rights from Dept. of Law, University of Pune, LL.M. in Commercial Law from Cardiff Law School, Cardiff University (UK) and Ph.D. in ‘Computer Programs: Copyright and Patent Paradigms- A Study’ from Symbiosis International University, Pune.  He lectures on Law of Torts, MV Accident and Consumer Protection Laws, Public International Law, Information Technology Laws to Undergraduates and Information Technology Law & Intellectual Property Laws to postgraduates. He has worked as research associate at I.L.S. Law College for a year where he also taught Law of Torts. He then worked with Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College for two years as a lecturer, before moving to Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2000.

Dr. Ranjul Rastogi

Dr. Ranjul Rastogi an outstanding scholar holds Ph.D. Degree in Economics from IIT, Kanpur. She obtained M.A. (Economics) & LL.B. degrees from Allahabad University and B.ED degree from Avadh University. Before joining Symbiosis Law School as Associate Professor, she taught students of various discipline at different institutes. She started her career of teaching to commerce graduates at K.S.Saket Post Graduate College Faizabad in 1990-1991 after completing post-graduation. She then obtained Ph.D. degree in 1997. After Ph. D., she taught PGDBF students at Indian Institute of Finance, Delhi in 1996. In 1999, She moved to Amity Law School, Delhi (GGSIPU)  and taught law graduates for almost twelve years at Amity.

Dr. Mohammad Salim

Dr. Mohammad Salim obtained Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in the Year 1995, PGDBA in the year 1996 and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in the year 2000 at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He then went on to pursue LL.M. (Corporate Laws) in 2003 and Ph.D. (WTO Laws) in 2009 at Jamia Millia Islamia. He previously taught as a Regular Faculty at Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida during 2003-2010.

He has been a Visiting faculty at Jamia Millia Islamia during 2004, Lincoln Law College during 2007 and National Law University, Jodhpur during 2008. He worked as Principal at Lloyd Law College during 2008-2010. He is a member of Bar Council of Delhi and New Delhi Bar Association. He practiced at various District courts and Delhi High Court in civil and corporate matters. His areas of Interest are World Trade Organisation and Intellectual Property Rights laws. His Ph.D. is  on ‘Sanctions and the issue of Induced Compliance in World Trade Organisation Dispute Settlement.’

Dr. Pushpa Negi

Dr. Pushpa Negi is Assistant Professor in Accounting and Finance. Her areas of interest are Business Research, Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Techniques etc.  She did B.Com and M. Com from Kumaun University, Nainital (Uttrakhand) in 2000 and Phd. from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.) in 2007. She has also cleared UGC-SLET in 2003.  She has a total experience of about six years in the academic and research field. She worked as Visiting Faculty at Institute of Commerce and Management, Jiwaji University, Gwalior from July 2004 to Dec. 2006, Department of Political Science (M.B.A. Course), Jiwaji University, Gwalior and M.L.B. Govt. Arts and Commerce Collage at Gwalior from July 2006 to June 2007. She has also taken part time classes (MBA, CS) at M.P. Bhoje Open University, Gwalior from Feb. 2007 to March 2007.She then worked as a Lecturer at Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior for Three and a half years (July 2007 to December 2010) before moving to Symbiosis Law School, Noida.

Prof. Shailja Saxena

Ms. Shailja Saxena did her Honors in English Literature from Delhi University in the year 2001 and went on to pursue her M.Phil. in Literature (2008) after having completed her Masters in English Literature in the year 2006. She completed her Bachelor of law course from C.C.S. University in the year 2004 and practiced at the Delhi High Court and Ghaziabad District Court for two years (July’2004- August’2006) before making a foray into academics. She practiced Criminal Law and dealt with Matrimonial cases during her practice. She is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and the Delhi Bar Association.

She then joined Institute of Management Studies, Noida and taught English and Corporate Communication to BBA, MIB and PGDM courses. She also taught Spoken English to students of various courses at DIA-Design and Innovation Academy, Sec-62, Noida. She served Institute of Management Studies Noida for four and a half years (August’2006- December’2010) before joining Symbiosis Law School in January 2011.

Prof. Sukhvinder Singh Dari

Sukhvinder Singh Dari has Completed BA.LL.B from Nagpur University in 2007, LL.M (Business Law) from Symbiosis International University (Pune) in 2009. At present, he is pursuing Ph.D in law from Symbiosis International University. He has also completed Diplomas in Human Resource Management & Labour Laws and Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions.

He has taught at Symbiosis Law School, Pune and Bharti Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune. He was also In-Charge of Certificate Course in European Union Legal Studies, Placement Officer at Symbiosis Law School, Pune and was also Member of Symbiosis Centre for Legal Care.  He also attended several National and International Conferences and his research interest includes corporate laws. He lectures on Company Law, Labour Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, Jurisprudence, Constitution Law and Contract Law.

Prof. Shikha Priyadarshini

Prof. Shikha Priyadarshini has done B.Com from Delhi University in the year 2007 and MBA from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University in the year 2009. Prior to joining Symbiosis, she was working in the field of CSR in Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga University. She also has corporate experience in advertising and online promotion. During her MBA, she interned at an advertising agency where she handled client servicing focusing on Public Sector Clients. In this period of internship, she organized International exhibitions under the guidance of the concerned department head. She also worked for a Delhi based NGO in which she successfully handled various promotional projects and campaigns. Her research projects cover topics of Indian retail sector, pharmaceutical industry customers, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, etc. Apart from teaching, she is also handling academic coordination work and is the Cultural Committee coordinator for the year 2010-11.

Dr. Pooja Kapoor

Dr. Pooja Kapoor did her Honors in Political Science from Delhi University in the year 1995.  She had completed her Masters in Political Science in the year 2000. She was awarded with the Doctor of Philosophy in the year 2003 before making a foray into academics.

She worked in an NGO named All INDIA WOMEN CONFERENCE in the capacity of the Programme Officer for the Rural Development (October 2002 to September 2004). She then joined INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, NOIDA and taught Political Science and Sociology. She served Institute of Management Studies Noida for four and a half years (October 2004- July 2008). She then worked withan educational e learning company EXTRAMARKS in NOIDA for more than  two and half years in the capacity of HOD (Political Science), before moving to Symbiosis Law School, Noida in 2011.

Dr. Madhuker Sharma

Dr. Madhuker Sharma did B.A. [Hons.] English in the year 1996 from University of Delhi.  He did Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in the year 2000 from C.C.S. University, Meerut.. He then went on to pursue LL.M. and completed the same in the year 2002 from C.C.S. University, Meerut.  He has completed Ph.D. in 2008 from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.  The topic of his Ph.D. research work was “A Socio-Legal Study on Rights of A Girl Child in India”.

He has been teaching at Graduate & Post-Graduate level since year 2007.  He has been a Visiting Faculty at Faculty of Law,  University of Delhi and at J.I.M.S., Rohini, Delhi. Therein he used to teach ‘Environmental Laws’ & ‘Human Rights Laws’ at LLB level; and ‘Business Laws’ at M.B.A. level.  He had earlier practiced at various District courts and Delhi High Court in civil and criminal matters.

Prof. Ashmita Bisarya

Prof. Ashmita Bisarya did her B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, in the year 2008 and LL.M (Business Laws) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Nationa Law University, Lucknow. She has been the topper of her batch in LL.M. She cleared UGC-NET in the year 2010. She has also taught in National law University, Delhi, as a teaching internee. As a student, she has participated in various debates and moot court competitions at national as well as international level.

Prof. Ashok P. Wadje

Prof. Ashok P. Wadje did his BSL/LLB, a five years course from SRTM University, Nanded, Maharashtra in 2007 and LLM (Specialized in Business Laws) from Symbiosis Law School, Symbiosis International University, Pune in 2009 and is presently doing Pre-Ph.D. Registration course work from Symbiosis International University, Pune. He has also passed a Certificate course in Human Rights from IGNOU, Delhi.

He has worked as an Assistant Prof. at Deccan Education Society’s (DES) Law College, Pune, for LLM programme, for the period of one year before moving to Symbiosis Law School, Noida. He has guided LLM students in short research projects as a part of LLM curriculum, under University of Pune.

Prof. Vikram Singh

Prof. Vikram Singh completed his graduation in the year 2003.He did his  Bachelor of Commerce  from S.D College (Lahore), Ambala  Cantt, Haryana.  He pursued his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from M.M.H (P.G) College, Ghaziabad, and Uttar Pradesh. After completing LL.B in 2007, for a while he practised as an advocate at Civil Court Ghaziabad and The Supreme Court of India at New Delhi. Later on in 2009 he went on to pursue his post-graduation in Law from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi with specialization in Criminal Law and Human Rights in the year 2011. He qualified his NET/JRF in 2010.  JRF was awarded to him by UGC in May 2011.

Prof. Girjesh Shukla

Mr. Girjesh Shukla has completed his LL.B from Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad in 2004 and LL.M from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 2006. He qualified UGC/NET in December 2005. Before joining Symbiosis International University, he served as Assistant Professor at National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, and earlier he was Lecturer at Vivekananda Law School; GGSIP University Delhi, and Asst. Professor of Law at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. His major areas of interest include Criminal Law, Law of Evidence, Law of Torts, Law relating to Poverty & Development, and Human Rights. He has submitted his Ph.D thesis titled “Dynamics of Hate Crimes in India with special reference to its socio-legal and economic ramifications” at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has published in various national journals on issues relating to criminal law and other aspects of socio-legal importance. He has also worked as researcher for the ‘Restatement of Laws on Public Interest Litigation’, a project sponsored by Supreme Court of India. He has been an active participant in various seminars and discussions.

Prof. Deepa A. Panwar

Prof. Deepa A. Panwar is faculty in Sociology and Ethics. Her areas of interest are Development, Development Sociology, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Legal perspective in Social Issues. She did her B.A. (Honors) Sociology from Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi (2002) followed by MSc. Development Studies (Population) from the London School of Economics, University of London (2004). She has worked with SOSCVI and Inter-aide (a French Government charity) for a period of 5 years before moving to academics. She has taken part time lectures in Pune and the National Capital Region before moving to SLS, Noida and is currently enrolled for a Research Methods Post Graduate Course at CeFiMS, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

She is a member of the Research and Publication Cell at Symbiosis Law School, Noida and the Co-Editor for various publications and Research cell proceedings at SLS, NOIDA.

Dr. S.N. Ghosh

Dr. S N Ghosh is a dedicated professional with around 30 years` hands-on corporate experience at middle and top management level.  His domain of expertise is in the complex arena of Corporate & Securities laws besides Industrial Laws and related laws.  Being a merit holder fellow member of ICSA (UK), he is one of the few professionals having rich and varied experience in Indian and UK corporate and securities laws.  He started his corporate career with K G Khosla Compressors Ltd, a pioneering company in the pneumatic tools technology in India.  His last assignment was asExecutive Director & Company Secretary of Modi Rubber Ltd.  Presently, he is advisor to some corporate including some of the leading navaratana PSUs.

Mr. Zoheb Hossain

Zoheb Hossain did his BA.LL.B from Symbiosis Law School, Pune and BCL(2008-09) and Masters Degree in Law from University of Oxford, U.K. He has pursued courses in Comparative Human Rights, Socio-economic Rights and Substantive Equality, Competition Law & Corporate Finance Law. He is an Advocate practising in the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court, presently working in the chambers of Mr. Mohan Parasaran, Additional Solicitor General of India. He is also a Central Government Panel Counsel in the Supreme Court of India appearing on behalf of various Government Departments. He has represented the Union of India in several matters inter alia, the Reliance Gas Dispute before the Supreme Court of India and the Vodafone Tax Dispute before the Bombay High Court. He was also a Member of the Organizing Committee, Ministry of Law and Justice, in-charge of the National Consultation for Second Generation Reforms in Legal Education. During an internship, he had assisted Dr. Rajeev Dhavan in a parliamentary submission examining the constitutional and legal position on office of profit before the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Aarthi Rajan

Ms. Aarthi Rajan is a visiting faculty at Symbiosis Law School, Noida. She teaches English subject to BA LLB and BBA LLB students. She graduated in English Literature from Delhi University in the year 1993 and in Law from Cardiff University in the year 2006. She completed the Bar Professional Course from College of Law, Bloomsbury in the year 2007 and then completed pupilage requirement of 1st 6 months as pupil barrister. She shadowed prosecution team in the landmark ‘21/7/2005 attempted suicide bombing’ case - R .V. Ibrahim and others (Woolwich Crown Court, UK). She is currently litigating as Junior Counsel in the Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi with a focus on matters involving taxation, international taxation and arbitration. She has also worked as a Legal Advisor with Trimex International FZE where her role was of advising formation of Indian liaison office as well as to advise on day to day contractual dealings.

Prof. Adab Singh Kapoor acquired his BBA LLB (Honours) from Symbiosis International University, Pune in the year 2009.  He completed his course of Company Secretary from ICSI in the year 2008. He completed his certificate course on “Understanding Information Technology in the Corporate Environment” in the same year. Dr. Vijay Kumar Pandey has received his Ph.D. on “Impact of Selected Antecedents on Service Quality” from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in the year 2009. He obtained M.Phil, from Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 2005 and M.B.A. from Indira Gandhi National Open University in the year 2001. He completed his BA from IGNOU in the year 1997. He has six years of teaching experience. Before joining the Institute, he has worked in Indian Air Force for 20 years and five years in Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior. His area of interest is Service Quality. He has published twenty-four research papers (seven cases in European Case Clearing House (London), six research papers in journal, ten research papers in edited books, and one in Souvenir of Gwalior Management Association published on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of All India Management Association).

Prof. Thomas Kuriokose K. is Professor in Sociology at Symbiosis Law School. He completed his B.TH. from St. Thomas AP. College in 1974, Graduation in History/ Political Science/ Sociology from Mysore in 1979 and Masters in Sociology in 1983 from Rajasthan. He also did M.Phil. from TISS in 1987. With 20 years of teaching experience at Undergraduate & Postgraduate level, he has worked as a Programme Officer of NSS for 6 years and as Area - Coordinator of  NSS Cell SNDT University for 5 years (2000-2007). He has been a member of the prestigious Board of Studies in Sociology, SNDT University (2000- 2005). He has been awarded with Sir Dorabji Tata Scholarship for Research in Tata Institute of Social Science (1983-1986).

She was the highest scorer in M.A. (Diploma) - Gender and Society organized by The National Commission Of Women in Women Studies And Development. Centre, University Of Delhi in 2009. She has worked as a Program Officer for Ford Foundation Project with Sampradaan Indian Centre for Philanthropy, July 2010 - till present. She has coordinated Feasibility Study on Community Foundation In India. She is responsible for the initiation of a need assessment study for SOS children’s Villages of India for Vocational Training among the marginalized in Delhi slums. She has worked on Media advocacy project on Right to Education with UNESCO.
