First Symposium on "The Changing Faces of Terrorism and the Issues of National Security" - Supported by Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India

With the mission to create innovative knowledge, expand limits of human understanding, and produce a wide range of benefits throughout society with the aid of fundamental research, Symbiosis Law School, Noida is organizing the First Symposium on “The Changing Faces of Terrorism and the Issues of National Security” on April 28, 2012. We are delighted to share that the Symposium is supported by Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The Symposium is aimed at not only bringing in the views of experts and researchers but also at disseminating it for the betterment of the existing responsibility that every citizen undertakes for the betterment of the society. The knowledge of various experts specialized in this area would set a benchmark for the improvement that still needs to be done to improve the existing scenario. The Symposium will facilitate the sharing of experiences of the Diplomats, Ambassadors, Academicians, Advocates, Researchers and learners with each other. The Symposium will hold technical sessions on numerous issues related to Terrorism and National Security in the present scenario. 

The speakers at the Symposium include: Amb. Suryakanthi Tripathi, Former Ambassador to Spain; Mr. Timothy G. Haley, Counselor, Regional Security Office U.S.A. Embassy, New Delhi; Mr. Kalyan Raman, Scholar, Institute for Defense and Strategic Analyses (IDSA); Mr. Joginder Singh (IPS), Former Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI); H.E. Mr. Williams Nkurunziza, High Commissioner of Rwanda, High Commission of Rwanda, New Delhi. Guests of Honour include Ambassadors from various countries. Representation is expected from Rwanda, Yemen, Ethiopia, Gambia, Mali, Oman, Azerbaijan, and Singapore.
