Mr. Sanjeev Sahay is Managing Partner of LAS and Associates, New Delhi. His academic qualifications include Bachelor of Law (LL.B.), Delhi University India; Diploma in Financial Management: Institute of Management & Technology Ghaziabad, India and B.Com (Hons.), Delhi University, India.

Apar graduated top of his class from Amity Law School, Delhi and joined India’s premier dispute resolution law-firm Karanjawala & Co. wherein he represented India's top corporate houses and high-income individuals in courts as well as in arbitration's. To complete his studies, Apar proceeded for his masters to Columbia Law School, New York where he obtained his LL.M. He is presently a partner at Advani and Co., where he appears in courts and arbitrations, advises and makes agreements for clients in the technology sector. Apar also represents government bodies being on the panel of the Union of India and the Controller of Certifying Authorities.

Apar has authored a book on the Information Technology Act, which is published by Wadhawa-LexisNexis Butterworth’s presently in its Second Edition. He is deeply engaged in the formation of technology law and policy being retained as counsel for the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). Apar has been listed by Forbes India magazine in its list of, “30 under 30” for his work in the media and technology sector. A frequent commentator on these subjects he has written columns for, the Indian Express, Pioneer, Business Standard, the Caravan and a number of online publications.

A part of his practice is pro-bono representations, where he has advised and appeared for NGO’s such as Wikipedia Chapter India, Mediawatch India and Peoples Union for Civil Liberties. In addition to which he has taught seminar courses at National Law School, Bangalore and National Law University, Delhi.
