Speaker: Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Former Union Minister of Law & Justice and Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India

Mr. Ram Jethmalani has served as India's Union Law Minister and as Chairman of Bar Council of India. He has represented a sweep of cases from the high-profile to the controversial for which he has often faced severe criticism.

Ram Jethmalani is known as a maverick lawyer with many distinctions to his credit. He obtained a law degree at an early age of 17 and started practising law in his hometown (in today's Pakistan) until the partition of India.

He was elected a member of parliament in 6th and 7th Lok Sabha on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket from Mumbai. He has served as Law Minister of India and also as Minister of Urban Development during the Prime Ministership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee against whom he later on contested election in General Elections of 2004 from Lucknow constituency. However in 2010 he came back to BJP and was elected to Rajya Sabha on its ticket from Rajasthan.

He is a well known face amongst the legal community in India. Even though he is primarily known as only a criminal lawyer, he has appeared in many high-profile cases. On 7 May 2010 he was elected to be the president of Supreme Court Bar Association.

Mr. Nidhish Mehrotra co-founded ANM Global in the year 2009 and plays an active role in the management of the firm at the National level. Prior to starting the Firm, he worked with leading law firms in Delhi.

Mr. Nidhish has extensive experience in a wide range of practice areas including general Corporate Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Private Equity, Merger And Acquisition And Arbitration. He has advised numerous national and international clients on Intellectual Property Rights, Litigation, information technology laws, Private Equity, General Corporate Commercial Law. In addition, he has advised a couple of Indian companies on a wide variety of capital market transactions, including GDRs and FCCB offerings. He advises and represents fortune 500 global companies and top 100 domestic business houses of India.

Mr. Nidhish acts as mentor to various start-up companies in India and advises many incubator centres as well.

Mr. Nidhish is a frequent speaker and presenter at various national and international conferences/seminars. He is also associated with a number of national and international professional bodies and organizations like FICC, Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Indo German Chamber of Commerce.
