Career of twenty years as a legal professional includes ten years of litigation practice in the offices of Mrs. Chidambaram. Thereafter, Sai moved to legal consultancy as Head of MyVakil.com and later on as Vice President and business Head of Sand Legal Management Services Private Limited, a compliance management and advisory consulting company for a span of ten years.
His expertise in process oriented legal research includes compliance management, SEZ advisory, contracts management, technology protection measures, REITs and alternate energy, structuring and monitoring complex legal audits, legal due diligence for takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and property due diligence.
In his career spanning twenty years, Sai has dealt with various industries including Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, Automobile, Steel, Oil, Petroleum, Health Care, Tobacco, Insurance, Chemicals, Fertilizers and Pesticides, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles, Consumer Goods and retail, Engineering, Cement, Telecommunications, IT & ITES, Financial Services and Media. He has successfully concluded several projects for some of the top five hundred companies in India. His experience in legal services pans multiple jurisdictions in the world including India, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Zambia, UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
He has conducted workshops for CII, ICSI and other industrial forums in topics such as legal function restructuring, tools to reduce director’s liabilities, changing compliance management structures and long term trends in compliance management, confidentiality, trade secrets and employment laws in India, labor law reforms among other topics in all major metros in India.

Topic: The Legal Mosaic - Looking Back, Looking Forward

Prof. Rodney D. Ryder is a Partner with Scriboard, a full service commercial law firm with cutting edge specialisation in technology, new media and intellectual property laws. He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000. He has been nominated as a 'Leading Lawyer' in Intellectual Property, Technology, Communications and Media Law by Asia Law, Who'sWhoLegal, Asia Legal 500, amongst other International publications. Mr. Ryder is also Advisor to the Data Security Council of India [a NASSCOM initiative] on the structuring of industry data privacy and information security policies and contractual standards.
His second book, Intellectual Property and the Internet, published by LexisNexis is perhaps the only one of its kind in Asia. The text has been acknowledged to be an authoritative work by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and has been quoted in the first and only judgement by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on domain names. He is Advisor to the National Internet Exchange of India [NiXI] and a member of the panel of independent and neutral arbitrators with NiXI. He is also a member of Supreme Court Bar Association [SCBA], Delhi High Court Bar Association [DHCBA], International Bar Association [IBA] and Inter Pacific Bar Association [IPBA], ‘Legal Action Group’ constituted by the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication, Government of India, to advice on the implementation of the ‘Act’ [www.cca.gov.in].
He is in the Advisory Board of Corporate Law Advisor [CLA], Patent and Trademark Reporter [PTR] and Law Wire™. He is also an Honorary Legal Advisor of Nepal Telecom Authority [NTA], Computer Association of Nepal [CAN], Office of the Attorney General, Sri Lanka, Crime Police Station, C. O. D. Mr. William Shannon Hein is Vice President; Sales at William S. Hein & Co., Inc. Mr. Hein joined the company in 1999, overseeing the acquisition of the Fred B. Rothman Company in Littleton, Colorado. He then moved into the outside sales arena, with responsibility for contract negotiations, products sales and customer relations. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston (SC), where he earned a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Hein represents the third generation of family leadership at William S. Hein & Company, Inc.
