Ms. Sukanya Singha

Ms. Sukanya Singha has completed her five years B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) in the year 2012 from KIIT Law School, Bhubaneswar with specialization in International Law. She then went on to pursue her LLM from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi with specialization in Criminal Law and Human Rights and completed the same in 2014. She has a distinction in her dissertation paper titled “Legal Protection of the Internally Displaced Persons: A study of Kashmiri Pandits.” She has qualified her UGC-NET examination in 2013.

Her areas of interest are Criminal Law, Public International Law and Human Rights.

Conferences and Seminars

  • Participated and presented a paper in a National Seminar on Human Rights and Duties: Issues and Challenges in the SAARC region organized by the Department of Law, University of North Bengal, on "Protecting the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons: Challenges laying before the SAARC Countries” held on 15th to 17th November, 2014.
  • Participated in a National Seminar on “Recent Developments in Intellectual Property Law” organized jointly by KIIT Law School, KIIT University and National Intellectual Property Organization, on 26th February, 2010.
  • Participated and presented a paper in the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Industrial Disasters, held on 5th and 6th December, 2009 at National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
  • Participated and presented a paper in the 32nd All India Criminology Conference on the Theme: Science, Technology, Law and Criminal Justice organized by the Bangalore University and the Indian Society of Criminology from 25th to 27th February 2009.
