Forty days since I added being a Symbian to my identity and forty days of believing that sky too is not the limit for ‘legal eagles’. Now that’s what we are taught here, at Symbiosis. So far, my readings about the institution hint towards, ‘flexibility in firmness’ a characteristic that, in my opinion, is the reason for the balance that is maintained here so naturally.

The name “Symbiosis” keens no introduction. So it’s nearly impossible for me to recall how I came to know about it. But I know this much that it’s a dream come true for very few of the fortunate ones, like me. This is how my reverie started to come true in Symbiosis Law School. So, it started with a smile gifted to us on our orientation.

I came to SLS, NOIDA with a lot of hopes and aspiration of becoming a good and a successful lawyer, and am not disappointed. Coming from a residential school in Mussoorie, I was in the habit of doing work and pestering my teachers for their help and guidance. It’s the same here, the teachers are friendly, easily-approachable and are well versed with their subjects. The first day in is always the best and the worst day for a newbie in college.

Transition from high school to college isn’t as simple as it seems. Like a butterfly leaves the comfort zone of the cocoon to explore the real world so have I. College life has been a roller coaster ride, something which was unexpected. It’s a bitter sweet experience ‘cause it becomes a home away from home. We have a very open faculty who has been encouraging our baby steps. Our Director has been very supportive especially to us, first years and it’s truly commendable that he knows each one of us by our names within the first two months.

Life at SLS, NOIDA pretty much borrows a great deal from these words by the former British Statesman. At a time when high school seemed wholesome, the fallacies in this view point attained prominence after having been at Symbiosis for a year now. Absolute commitment to scholarship and the sheer joy of learning swear to be my motivation at my law school.
