Dr. B N RAMESH IPS 1988 BATCH (West Bengal Cadre) is B. Tech., MBA (IIM), and Ph.D. (IIT). He joined Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in 2008. He has served as Superintendent of Police at Burdwan, 24 Paragnas NORTH, Medinapur, S.S.P Intelligence DIG, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Dimapur, IG (Operations) at Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kashmir, IG (Spl. Training, Research & Development, New Delhi, CRPF, Director, internal Security Academy CRPF, Mount Abu.

He has several publications to his name including research papers on topics like Rajiv Aarogyasri (2009), System Dynamics in European Journal (2009), and Tribal Issues in National Seminar 2011. He has chaired International Conference On Public Policy And Governance At Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Sept 2012 and presented paper on “Innovative Style of Leadership For Bringing University In Kashmir’. He has also authored of number of books like “Training Needs Analysis of Police Personnel in Naxal Prone Areas” (2012), “Internal Security Challenges of India Ways And Means To Fight”, Bureau of Police Research and Development MHA; and “Antecedents Of Maoist Movement And State Response - A Study 0f A.P.” is being published.

Some major initiatives by him are: Job creation for Youth in Chhattisgarh and Kashmir; Health and skill up gradation camps of Dandakaryanyam area of Chhattisgarh A.P.; Rehabilitation of militants in Kashmir; Rehabilitation of unorganized labour from illegal moving area in Burdwan; Self-help groups and identity establishment initiative for most down trodden groups Sports meet initiatives; Permanent infra structure creation for Youth Development and Civic action being practically implemented in near by area of CRPF academy as training curriculum.

Ms. Tia’s practice is focused in the field of Intellectual Property. She is involved in prosecution and litigation for both domestic and international clients and handle matters involving Prosecution, Oppositions, Litigation, Cancellations, clearance searches - strategy building, IP Enforcement strategies, Global Trade Mark portfolio management, brand management, brand protection, anti-counterfeiting and other legal issues arising thereto.

Ms. Tia has advised various multinational companies in the field of Banking & Finance, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Luxury services like the Hotel and Travel Industry, Media and Telecommunications, Information Technology, Automobile Companies, Tobacco Industry, Educational Institutions, etc.

Ms. Tia also work on domain recovery issues with special concentration on UDRP and INDRP. She has worked extensively on the Trade Mark related issues in almost all countries of the Indian Sub-Continent with a special concentration on Sri Lanka and am heading the Sri Lanka country desk of Lall & Sethi.
